Jet Pump Test Rig SIGMA 0064JP The setup is designed to study the performance of jet pump. Set up consists of a Mono-Block jet pump coupled with electrical motor, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop oil circulation. Pressure and Vacuum gauges are connected on delivery and suction side of pump for the purpose of measurement.
The flow rate of water is measured using measuring tank and stop watch provided

Whirling of Shafts apparatus SIGMA 0065WS:
Whirling of Shafts apparatus shows how shafts vibrate transversely and whirl at a certain rotation frequency. This helps engineers understand possible problems with long shafts and allow for them in their designs.
The main part thick powder coated frame that hold a variable speed motor which turns the horizontal test shaft. Two bearings hold the shaft, one bearing at the driven end and the other bearing at the tail end of the shaft. The tail end bearing slides in its housing to allow the shaft length to change as it whirls. Similar to a beam on two simple knife-edge supports, both bearings allow free angular shaft movement. Also supplied with the equipment are extra bearings that restrict angular movement when fitted, to give fixed ends.
The apparatus is a set of test shafts of different length and diameter to show how these properties affect whirling. Also supplied is a set of weights to show how concentrated loads affect whirling. One weight has an extra hole to make it an eccentric load.

Static & Dynamic Balancing Apparatus SIGMA 0066SD This equipment is designed for carrying out the experiment for balancing a rotation mass system. The apparatus consists of a steel shaft fixed in a rectangular frame. A set of four blocks with a clamping arrangement is provided. For static balancing, each block is individually clamped on shaft and its relative weight is found out using cord and container system in terms of number of steel balls. For dynamic balancing, a moment polygon is drawn using relative weights and angular and axial position of blocks is determined. The block are clamped on shaft is rotated by a motor to check dynamic balance of the system. The system is provided with angular and longitudinal scales and is suspended with chains for dynamic balancing.

The pressure distribution is measured over a multi tube manometer. The belt is driven by a variable speed motor. The tilting angle and minimum gap between pad and belt can be adjusted and characteristics thus can be studied at various gaps, inclination and relative surface speeds.

Coriolis Component of Acceleration-SIGMA-376-CCA:-Our prominence in this domain expertise has helped us come up with Coriolis Component of Acceleration. This entire set up is designed to study various corioli's components of a slider crank mechanism. In this process the continuous stream of water which is flowing through a steady rotating pair of tubes replaces mechanical slider system. The tubes of the system can be easily rotated in various speeds with the usage of a swinging field motor which also serves a dynamometer. There is a Perspex window located on the top of the tank. This window assures complete clear view of the process. It also prevents the splashing of water over the side of the tank. The in-built dynamometer continuously measures the torque which is applied to the various rotating tubes. This entire equipment is self-contained. The re-circulating of the water is assisted with a own speed control unit and water circulating pump which is separate.
